Yes, it feels like it is a WAR against the misrepresentation of MSD as an approach that promotes the belief that ideas from the global north are superior to the ones from the global south. It is WAR!
This text is a parody of the famous song "War" written by the legendary Bob Marley where he expressed his desire to eliminate discriminatory beliefs in society. In this parody, I wish to express my desire to eradicate incompetence and bad practices within MSD. Please join me in waging war against incompetence in MSD.

Until the approach that promotes the philosophy that holds inexperienced practitioners from the global north superior and skilled practitioners from the global south inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned everywhere! Its WAR!
Until they are no longer, practitioners parade themselves as experts because they have MSD knowledge; until MSD skill is defined as the application of MSD knowledge in different contexts, it is WAR!
Until Interventions aim to refine effective practices, not dismiss. It is WAR!
Until MSD practitioners have respect for participants from the global south and their opinions are recognised and given due consideration, it is WAR!
Until a brilliant practitioner from the south is judged by her MSD skills and not her accent, it is WAR!
Until a practitioner's attire is of no more significance than his height, when presenting MSD ideas. It is WAR!
Until MSD practitioners learn to listen, learn, reflect, revise, and implement, in that order, it is WAR!
Until ‘poverty porn’ is discredited and recognised as an insult to the integrity of those they claim to support and help, it is WAR!
UNTIL THAT DAY, the dream of impactful intervention and elimination of poverty will remain a fleeting illusion to be pursued and never attained.
